This is the official calendar of events for the Forum of Young Global Leaders 2020. As an important part of the five-year leadership programme you embark on as a YGL or a member of the YGL Alumni Community, you have access to events, education programmes, meetings and gatherings -- both on a global and local level. Each opportunity complements each other and contributes to the overall YGL Programme.

YGL Annual Summit (August 17-20, 2020)
The Forum of Young Global Leaders Virtual Summit will bring together inspirational and pioneering leaders from around the world to connect with one another, reflect on new insights and affect the complex world around them. All YGLs and Alumni are invited.
Explore new conditions given the COVID-19 crisis, the possibilities for a great reset, and how it informs us as a community & responsible leaders.
Realign our community to strengthen existing collective action and seed new initiatives towards the 2030 agenda in areas of climate change, economic and social justice, technology and the fourth industrial revolution.

Official Young Global Leaders Events Calendar 2020
Going live on Wednesday 11 March at 10.00 CET, this year's media campaign will promote the new class across multiple platforms - news articles, blogs and op-eds in international media and social media - reaching millions of viewers worldwide.
We invite all new Young Global Leaders and current members to join us in celebrating the new class as well as the mission and values of the YGL Community. More information on this year's media campaign will be available early 2020.
Under the theme Global Leadership and Public Policy in the 21st Century, this Education Programme is designed to prepare YGLs to expand their knowledge base in order to better address pressing the most global challenges. Using both theory and practice, participants are challenged to immerse themselves in issues facing their generation and develop leadership strategies to achieve significant change. Postponed to 2021
This module will explore the technological, organizational and behavioral, and financial innovations necessary to effectively mitigate and build resilience to the impacts of climate change. The goal of the module is to equip participants to lead the way in planning and implementing effective, responsible, and sustainable decisions for their organizations, which, in turn, will have broad impacts on the management of our global resources and environment. Applications to participate are accepted until February 21st. Postponed to 2021
Partnered with Saïd Business School at Oxford University, this module with the theme Transformational Leadership: Leadership at the Edge, provides participants the space, inspiration and reflection to move beyond personal and professional boundaries. An immersive four days of experiential development and self-discovery drawing together the humanities, sciences and thought leadership.
Gathering in Canada for a joint community flagship event in collaboration with the Forum of Young Global Leaders and the Global Shapers Community, the event will bring together inspirational and pioneering leaders from around the world to connect with one another, reflect on new insights and affect the complex world around them. All YGLs and Alumni will be invited. Postponed to 2021
In partnership with Apolitical Academy, this 12 month YGL Public Leadership programme kicks off in London with its first weekend seminar. The seminar will be led by a combination of skilled moderators and experienced government and political leaders from across the global political and ideological spectrum.

Highlights and Photo Gallery
This year at the 2020 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, participants come together to address the most pressing issues on the global agenda. The overarching theme these year was “stakeholder capitalism” and discussions were centered around how to assist governments and international institutions in tracking progress towards the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals, and facilitate discussions on technology and trade governance. 63 YGLs from around the world were selected to join the official YGL delegation to the 2020 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.
