Located in the Washington, DC metro area, Oak Hill, Virginia is the 20171 part of the Herndon zip codes and one of our favorite areas. The neighborhoods make this area special so let's take a tour!
Franklin Farm
With 1,777 homes spread out across 850 acres Franklin Farm is a beautiful, sought after, community. Approximately 182 acres are secured as open space. There is a community center, shopping center, Fairfax County Park (ball fields), walking trails, basketball courts, pools, ponds, tennis courts, volleyball court, 12 tot lots plus two 'super' tot lots located next to each pool.
Chantilly Highlands
This gorgeous neighborhood has 909 homes and features a playground, two playhouses, picnic benches and two tennis courts situated next to the community center, with a with pool, baby pool, and bath house. A paved bike path follows along a creek in Horsepen Run Stream Valley Park, connecting two sections of this sought after neighborhood.

Bradley Farm: Built in 1986, Bradley Farm is a picturesque community of 348 single family homes. Residences sit on 1/4 acre home sites and range in size from about 2200 to 3000 square feet of living space. Community amenities at Bradley Farm include a swimming pool, walking/jogging paths, a tot lot, and basketball court.
Franklin Oaks: A little oasis in the middle of the highly sought after Dulles corridor. Take the time and drive through this community and notice the meticulously kept homes, neighborhood pride and a nearby pond.
Fox Mill Estates: This community is bordered by Lawyers Road, Reston Parkway, West Ox Road, Fairfax County Parkway, and Fox Mill Road. This location provides quick access to the Dulles corridor and all it offers. With 1,144 single-family homes built between 1972 and 1985 on lots ranging from ¼ acre to ½ acre. Fox Mill also has the Fox Mill Shopping Center within it's community which is home to Giant, Starbuck, Laong Thai, Lucia's Italian Restaurant and more.
Middleton Farm: Located on the west side of West Ox. This quiet neighborhood is full of charm and pride of ownership.
Glenbrooke Woods: Situated between the communities of Franklin Farm and Fox Mill, Glenbrooke Woods residents enjoy nearby shopping, entertainment, and terrific schools. Glenbrooke Woods is located near the major roadways of Route 267 (Dulles Toll Road), the Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100), Route 50, and Route 66.
Moneterey Estates: Located off of West Ox, this neighborhood has a large common area, tennis courts, a covered picnic area, basketball courts, a playground and organized neighborhood events.
Meadow Hall: Located off of Monroe Street and West OX this neighborhood is close to Frying Pan Farm.
Oak Farms: Is a pretty neighborhood with easy access to Franklin Oaks Park and found off of West Ox.
Folkstone: This description came straight from a home owner "We are a lovely community that has been here since 1975. Most homes sit on an acre with mature trees. We are also off of a state park with walking trails." Sounds pretty perfect!
Oakton Ridge is a small community of 70 homes of 4,000 square feet or larger. Built in 2000, this community has well maintained common areas, a sport court, and 3 playgrounds. It’s a true community by any standards.
Plus more including; Spring Lake Estate, Emerald Chase, Haverhill West, The brand new community Iris Hills, and the area east of West Ox; a lovely community with no HOA, full of land and privacy!

There is plenty to do for your children as well! There are great youth activities, CYA, Scouts, and dance just to name a few!
Every Thursday, 8am to 12:30pm, from May 5 through mid-November. The Herndon Farmers' Market takes place in nearby Historic Downtown Herndon and features a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, meats, eggs, jams, jellies, cheese, dry rubs for your meats and fish, plants, salsa and home baked goods. All items are homegrown or prepared by the vendors at the market. During July through mid-August, children can enjoy the Farmers Market Fun Days.
