Rehearsal Live Share 1.5.5 Multichannel Audio Sharing & Personal Live Share

Multichannel Sharing

You've been able to capture a multichannel recording of your Rehearsal Live Share (RLS) session for a while. But with the newly released version 1.5.5, you can now immediately share this audio back to all participants for real-time playback and manipulation directly within RLS. That means all participants can now hear and play with a complete mix, adjusting faders, panning, muting in whatever way works best for the individual. Bring the alto down and left. Take the soprano's third to last take. Mute Jim (Jim's always flat!). Use it all together as you rehearse further. Everyone, not just the Director, gets the full ensemble sound.

Personal Live Share

Once you have the multichannel audio of your session (or stereo mix, for that matter), what else can you do with that content? We just discussed how you can use it to review and continue your rehearsal process, now hearing everybody together. In previous releases, we've discussed how you can move the audio into your favorite digital audio workstation program for more professional editing and polishing. With v1.5.5, we're adding to the possibilities with a new feature, Personal Live Share. Personal Live Share lets you continue the rehearsal outside of the live session. You can now continue to run musical numbers on your own, still singing or playing with your session-mates.

Practice in between the live sessions, as much as you want, whenever you want, without losing the context of hearing everyone else together. Be that much more prepared for the next time everyone meets up.
