From 1969 to 1994, hundreds of young people danced at Robert Gordon University's annual Arts Ball.

Fourth-year students of Scott Sutherland’s School of Architecture preparing the scenery in the Beach Ballroom for the Arts Ball tonight. The theme of the ball is The Titanic, and these students are raising the cracked ‘’hull’’ of the liner in the foyer of the Beach Ballroom. They are Stuart Robertson, Elaine Russell , Nick Brown and Neil Esslemont.
