WHAT HAPPENED:
Grand Haven defeated West Ottawa 28-7 on the Panthers home turf on Friday, Sept 17. The team’ success is partially attributed to their defense. The Buccaneer's special team stepped up in this game. The team suffered minor setbacks from some failed tackles and personal fouls throughout the game.

The Bucs win improves their record to 3-1 overall.

"I was really happy with our defense," defensive coordinator Jason Duram said. "I was really proud that our kids stuck with the plan. Our special team played incredibly well. I was really proud of Bode Wilson stepping up, I thought he had a great game."
“It was good to get back on the field again,” Runningbacker Bode Wilson said. “That kick was pretty sweet, they were hyping it up -- but then I got that ball and went the other way.”
