Part 6: Conclusion and Adobe Spark

Conclusion

This short training resource has been designed to introduce colleagues from the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures to the tools that are available for you to use in the development of your online and blended learning for Semester 1 2020/2021.

It is important to emphasise that there is no one "correct" model for using everything in this module - different tools will lend themselves to different subjects. What this course is designed to do is give you a sense of what tools are out there and to give you a basic introduction to how you might use these. Throughout there are links to take you to more detailed training in each of the sources. If in doubt, we recommend always going back to the SALC Remote Teaching website and the Faculty eLearning website for further training and resources.

In addition, you may know of other resources that you would like to use when developing your online and blended learning materials. Feel free to use these, and to experiment, and to share with your colleagues. You may also find the various communities of practice on Yammer useful for picking up new tips, techniques and tools for online learning.

A final tool - Adobe Spark

Before you go, you might be interested to hear that this course was created in Adobe Spark, which is another tool available for you to use.

Adobe Spark is a simple and easy to use online and mobile design app for creating aesthetically pleasing and easily navigated learning webpage resources from customisable templates. Pages can be distributed with a web link, like this one, or embedded in Blackboard using the same embed process as described for videos in Part 4 of this course.

If you would like to learn more about Adobe Spark, including details about training, please see the Faculty pages.
