ConSpan Arches are going in!

Construction of City Center West Orange's Phase 1 continues with building AB's foundation, the installation of ConSpan Arches for the Lake Bennet promenade, and the flattening and addition of curbs to the Blackwood Extension. Our construction team has been busy working despite several summer rain storms.

Monday, June 22nd

  • No VSC or drilling, both machines are down
  • Continuing work on building AB's foundation
  • Installing rebar container
  • Continuing digging dirt around the lake for Conspan Arch placement
  • Continuing Blackwood curb installments
  • Load Test on building CJ will be conducted at 7:30 tomorrow morning

Tuesday, June 23rd

  • Continuing Vibro Stone Columns on building CJ
  • Conducting a load test on building CJ
  • Continuing installation of rebar in building AB
  • Moving dirt for crane area to move Conspan Arches

Wednesday, June 24th

  • Moving dirt for crane area to move Conspans
  • Marking wall points between island and Conspans
  • Layering Blackwood extension
  • Continuing VSC on building CJ
  • Continuing installation of rebar on building AB

Thursday, June 25th

  • Continuing work on building AB's foundation
  • Installing rebar container
  • Continuing VSC on building CJ
  • Slow as holes are collapsing, having to refill and redrill
  • Finished laying in stone for foundation under brick wall, compacted
  • Blackwood is layered and flattened

Friday, June 26th

  • Laying down the brick wall for Conspan Arches
  • Continuing Vibro Stone Columns on building CJ

Tuesday, June 30th

  • Stone has been placed where Conspan Arches will be installed
  • Laid out geogrid over the stone
  • Digging next area for the next layout of Conspan Arches
  • Continuing work on building AB's foundation
  • Installing rebar container

Wednesday, July 1st

  • 4 am - started pouring concrete on building AB's foundation areas
  • Pre-drilling next area of building CJ
  • VSC continuing on building CJ
  • Moving Conspan Arches down to the lower dirt platform for easy access
  • A storm moved in around 3 pm, causing work to stop for the day

Thursday, July 2nd

  • Setting Conspan Arches in position while laying down next brick wall areas
  • Continuing work on building AB's foundation
  • Installing rebar container
  • Removing wood casing from completed pads
  • VSC continuing on building CJ
