NT Schools and the Adobe Creative Cloud

Welcome to the Adobe Creative Cloud in NT Schools!

Never has such a powerful suite of programs been so accessible to so many students across the NT for such an affordable price.

Adobe programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator have been some of the most sought after additions to classrooms for years. These powerful and useful applications enable students and staff to create, visualise and learn in a way that not many others can.

The Creative Cloud software enables students, faculty and staff to create compelling content across all media and devices. Not only are they advanced educational tools, but learning how to use the programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud has quickly become an absolute necessity across countless industries and professions.

Continue below for information on how your school can start using the full suite of programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud!

Who can apply for Creative Cloud?

Anyone in NT Schools can apply for access to Adobe Creative Cloud. That includes students, Principals, teachers and staff!

To be part of this arrangement you need to sign up until December 2021 at a cost of $8 per named license.

Purchasing requires approval within your school or business unit. Ensure you have these approvals before proceeding with purchase.

How can you order Creative Cloud?

It's easy for Principals, school staff and individuals to apply for a licence. Simply click the orange button below and fill out the form.

Don't forget to ensure you have your Principal's support before ordering.

Buy 1 licence or buy 600 - it's completely up to you and your school's needs. A licence can only be used by the person it is allocated to. You can change that allocation if they move or complete a course requiring that licence.

Have more questions about the licences? Here is everything you need to know:

General:

Q: Am I able to get access to the Adobe Creative Cloud?

A: If you have an NT Schools email account (example@ntschools.net), and work or are a student in a school you will be able to access Adobe Creative Cloud for only $8 per year.

Q: Who will pay the $8 annual fee?

A: If you are a Principal, teacher, student enrolled in a relevant course or school staff, the licence fee will come from your school's budget. Authorisation from the Principal, business manager or delegated officer will be required.

If you are a student who is not enrolled in a relevant course, you can still apply for Adobe Creative Cloud and pay for the licence yourself!

Q: Can corporate staff apply for licences under this structure?

A: Yes, Corporate based Education Staff are entitled to participate in the Adobe District Licence Program.

Q: How do I order Adobe Creative Cloud?

A: Follow the buttons in the section above, or click here to submit a request.

Q: How long will it be before I receive access to Adobe Creative Cloud after submitting my request?

A: If it is clear from the authoriser that the request is supported, and we have the correct cost centre, then within one business day access will be provided (unless it is a new school being added into our dashboard where it might take an extra day).

Q: How long is my account valid for?

A: For this first implementation, it is valid until 17 December 2021. Administrators should be aware that as the account is a single sign on attached to your allocation, the account can changed to another user in your administration dashboard if the student or staff member leaves the school during the period of validity. After December 2021 all licences (new or renewed) will be valid for 12 months.

Q: What happens when my account expires?

A: At a personal level there are a number of options if you wish to continue using Adobe Creative Cloud. These will differ depending on your role. Here is a starting point for you to look at.

Q: What happens if I already have an Adobe Creative Cloud Licence?

A: If your licence was issued by the Department of Education, your old account should automatically transfer to the new licence. If this has not happened by Thursday, September 17, and you find yourself unable to log in to or use Adobe products, please email IT support or call on 1800 756 657 (for schools).

Schools (for Principals):

Q: How many licences are available per school?

A: You can apply for as many licences as your school requires. There is no upper or lower limit. If you require 500 or more licences there is a price saving. Contact us for more information.

Q: Who in my organisation can I delegate a licence to?

A: You can authorise a licence for anyone in your organisation that needs it, whether it be students, teachers or staff.

Q: Can I add additional licences after submitting my initial request?

A: Yes, you can request additional licences at any point during the year. Regardless of when you make your request you will be charged $8 per licence.

Q: How are individual licences delegated once my request has been approved?

A: Individual corporate users will be managed centrally however schools will allocate an administrator to manage their licences. In the case of schools only using one or two licences, the team is here to help and not add administrative burden.

Q: What will happen when the accounts are due to expire?

A: The renewal process will start in October 2021 where all schools will be advised of the upcoming renewal. We expect pricing to stay the same and the agreement to continue. We recommend you sign up for our Adobe Teams site to keep up to date on not only renewals but training events we promote.

Q: Can licences be changed and re-delegated to a new individual at any time?

A: Yes, licences can be re-assigned to new individuals at any point while the licence is valid. This is done in the case of schools by the school assigned administrator through the Adobe administration console. Support is available to allocate administrators and walk through the re-allocation process. There is a reasonable consideration expected of not changing named licenses too often.

Individuals (for Parents and Students):

Q: Can I apply for a licence for myself (or my child) even if it is not specifically required for any classes?

A: Yes, any student is able to apply for a licence. If the licence is not specifically required as a part of a class or unit, payment of the licence must be made by the student/parent. This will need to be organised through your child's school. Please contact us if your school is unable to support this request.

Thank You, And Happy Creating!
