Bonjour! Our school will be hosting 17 French students for two weeks between February 8 and February 22. I have already corresponded with the teacher Mylène quite a bit, and can provide you with more specific details. She rocks! Thank you for your consideration. Administration, Teachers and Staff are thankful for our wonderful and supportive parents and community!

Thank You for showing your huge support for Ms Teena Hensley. UPDATE: Through the Supportful website, you have generously contributed to an ample slush fund for Miss Teena. There are still ways to help Teena and her family with daily items such as raking leaves, shoveling snow, hanging christmas lights, dropping off flowers and dinners - scroll a bit further down the page. Once her therapy is completed and she is in full remision, we will donate the balance of the "kitty" to Safe Funds Foundation which helps low income families with medical needs for their children. Kealy Baughman is the community point person for those wanting to help Miss Teena on a personal level. Kealy can be reached at: kealy@trail27.com Thank you for showing your love for Teena and for donating to a cause that is special to her.

It was a complete team effort, with 16 of the 17 state qualifiers scoring for the Brave.

Individually, the Brave were led by freshman Kayla Wieckowski with her second place finish in the 200 freestyle and her win in the 500 freestyle. Other medalists included Molly Elliott (5th in 200 free, 3rd in 500 free), Kailey Owen (5th 200 IM, 3rd 100 backstroke), Ella Bureau (5th 50 free), Abi Stucky (5th 500 free), and Aubrey Bureau (4th 100 backstroke).

All 3 of the Boise relays finished strong. The medley relay team of Kailey Owen, Juliette Andreani, Aubrey Bureau, and Ella Bureau finished 3rd to begin the meet. The team of Ella Bureau, Sofia Shuler, Lauren Lanfear, and Kayla Wieckowski finished 4th in the 200 free relay. The Brave saved their best for last with the team of Kailey Owen, Molly Elliott, Lauren Lanfear, and Kayla Wieckowski combining for the upset win over top seed Rocky Mountain.

Great swimming girls!!

Way to go Brave Girls Swim Team!

Boys Varsity Swimming

The Boise boys won their 5th consecutive state title on Saturday, putting up 242 points to Timberline’s 162, Eagle’s 140, and Lake City’s 136. It was Boise’s 15th state title overall.

Junior co-captain Nathan Quarterman led the way with wins in the 200 free and 100 back. His 100 backstroke time broke the all-time state record and qualified him for All American honors, making him Boise High’s 2nd All-American swimmer all time.

Junior Tim Wong added a win in the 200 IM and 3rd place finish in the 500 freestyle. Senior Zach Stevens added a 2nd place finish in the 200 IM and 3rd place finish in the 100 breaststroke. Junior Josh Richmond added medalist honors in the 200 IM and 500 freestyle, finishing 6th in both. Freshman Ben Stucky and senior Patrick Yost added medals in the 100 free, finishing 5th and 6th. Freshman Tyler Quarterman added a 5th place finish in the 500 freeestyle. Ben Stucky added a 5th in the 100 back late in the meet.

The Boise relays were also strong. Boise led the meet off with a win in the medley relay (Nathan Quarterman, Zach Stevens, Tim Wong, Milo Shue). The 200 free relay team of Milo Shue, Patrick Yost, Seth Carrell, and Ben Stucky finished 4th. Like the girls team, the boy’s 400 free relay saved the best for last. Newly minted All American Nathan Quarterman dove in for the final leg of the relay, trailing Eagle by nearly 3 seconds. He caught Eagle in the last ten yards, giving Boise their final win of the the season. The other 3 legs were Patrick Yost, Tim Wong, and Ben Stucky. It was a great finish to a great season.
