Frome Medical Practice employs 125 amazing women.
We are proud of them all.
They have all worked incredibly hard throughout the pandemic and the Covid vaccination programme.
New staff have joined us and we have also welcomed back retired staff to help support us with the vaccination programme.

As a GP of Indian origin, a mother to my 3 year old daughter, a wife and a daughter to a mother in the high-risk category, I could not help but feel vulnerable when faced with the covid pandemic in 2020. However, a few weeks into the lockdown I found myself with the opportunity to pilot a team looking after the most vulnerable patients in our community, the shielded cohort. In leading support to those with urgent medical needs, encouraging self-management and addressing mental health issues, I feel empowered knowing that I have been able to fulfil my primary family responsibilities as a woman, as well as further my career. This has given me a great sense of both personal and professional accomplishment and satisfaction.
Neha Bhagi GP
Working here I have seen our patient's isolation, stress and worry increase. I am proud to be part of a digitally inclusive practice offering patients of all levels digital ability to be connected.
As a practice we run workshops teaching skills such as video calling and online shopping, helping to tackle loneliness and isolation, keeping family and friends connected.
As a Digital Coordinator I offer patients online access to healthcare information and consultations.
We offer services such as the NHS App, Online Group Consultations and Online Patient Education, providing healthcare to patients at home, reducing the amount of face2face contact and keeping them safe.

My involvement with the vaccine rollout has been one of pride to be at the forefront, and ultimately enable a safe return to "normality".
Covid means we have adapted and changed the way we support our patients to keep everyone safe and this has been a steep learning curve for us all.
Lucilla Bevan Practice Nursing Team
Having been an employee for several years, retiring earlier this year, I was honoured to be asked to help with delivery of Covid Vaccines in the current pandemic.
The atmosphere of helping people get their vaccine so quickly and safely has given all organizing and attending the clinics a real buzz. It's one way we can all help each other to get back to a life we can all enjoy. I’m so happy to part of this.

After retiring from the Practice last year, having spent 21 years as a secretary, I returned to help out during this difficult time. Coming back and being involved in the incredible FMP vaccination programme has given me a renewed sense of purpose - it's a great feeling that you are bringing hope to so many people. I'm proud to be playing my part in making our community a safer place to live.
Sue Barry Medical Secretary
I have worked for Frome Medical Practice for over 20 years and in that time I have seen lots of changes. I am very proud to be part of such an innovative, hardworking team that's aim is always to put the patients first. Scheduling can be a challenging role, especially with all the changes we have made during the pandemic. We have got through this working together as a team.
Jude Tallin Scheduler
It has been a privilege to support some of our most vulnerable patients throughout the COVID19 pandemic, supporting patients when they have been discharged from hospital and arranging extra support for those who need it. I feel very proud that as carers champion I have been able to signpost our carers to the support services available to them during this difficult time as well as helping them arrange to have their COVID vaccines.
Claire Rogers Care Coordinator
I feel honoured to be working at the Medical Practice at this time. I have seen first-hand how some patients have struggled through this tough period of being in a lock-down and know how important it is to listen, greet people with a smile and do my best to support their needs by letting them know who can best help and support. The practice has a great health connections team that can offer a range of support services and also help patients to connect the wonderful community support there is. For me this about coming together as a community to support each other.

The last 12 months has, without exception been the most challenging and rewarding 12 months of my career. The rate and scale of change and the adaptation we have made to keep everyone safe in the pandemic has been phenomenal.
I am so proud of what we have achieved as a practice. Every day I have witnessed the support, resilience and can do attitude of the team around me and the commitment to keep Frome as a community safe and supported. I feel honoured to work in an organisation and community like this.
