Downlands Artistic Skating Club A Swindon community inspired sports club for figure skating

Welcome to our Club

Downlands Artistic Skating Club 2017 has taken on a new way of operating within the world of competitive roller skating. Working closely with our local community and government projects we will be splitting the club into two sections; a sports for all where participants can come and enjoy recreational skating for its health and social benefits, and a athletes section for those who want to take up the challenge and compete at national and international levels.

The club has been running now for many years and has produced champions, international skaters, and others who have gone on to set up their own club, become coaches, and judges.

This is not the main official site for the club, but a temporary one, while our new site is being created. The new site will cover all the changes that are taking place as well as a member and coaches area, keeping them up today, and the ability to create development plans for both athletes and coaches.

New for 2017

The club will continue to run its popular Family fun skate at the Dorcan Recreational Complex. However, each week we will have talent scouts looking out for potential new members for the club. At the session, you will also be able to become associate members of the club for recreational purposes.

There will be a specific Development/Performance section for those skaters who wish to pursue national and international competitions. This section will be formal with a structured training program for both on and off skate training and monitoring.
