It is our desire to see each child reach their God-given potential by providing them with opportunities to learn, grow, and mature in a safe, loving, Christian environment.

Our Accreditation

We are a Four Star Rising Star Provider for Texarkana and the surrounding area. The Rising Star program distinguishes our center as going above and beyond the Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Programs by receiving the highest star level available to child care centers since 2002!

Our Program

Our year-round program offers all-day care for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years. Our daily activities and program consist of a flexible schedule that has been created to provide diversity and challenge for children in all age groups. Our classes currently utilize the Investigator curriculum that was developed for all stages of a child's early education. These activities include school readiness skills, arts & crafts, games, music, outdoor play and story time including Bible stories and Scriptures. The Pre-K 3 & 4-year-old classes participate in a structured daily learning program that ensures students are ready for Kindergarten when they graduate from Grace Place.

Brightwheel App

As part of our participation in the CCS Program, we are able to offer parents access to the Brightwheel app. This app allows us to send quick messages, updates, reminders, and daily care sheets for our infants through an easy to use app that can be used on any smartphone or tablet.

Meet our Director

Grace Place's owner and director Carrolyn Griffin has been a child care provider in Texarkana for over 30 years. She and her husband, Billy, established Grace Place in 1999 and they have been teaching and molding Texarkana's children ever since. As an owner, she maintains an active presence in day to day activities and is readily available for any questions you may have. She is currently a Board Member of the Workforce Solutions of Northeast Texas as a private sector child care representative. She also participates in monthly meetings of the local Director's Network of child care providers.

Tuition and Fees

At Grace Place, we know parents have busy lives and the last thing we want you to worry about is going to the bank/ATM or remembering your checkbook so we use Tuition Express. Tuition Express is an easy and safe processing system offered by Procare Software System. Payments are accepted via Credit Card or Bank Account EFT. All payments are drafted on Monday of each week. We are a CCS provider and we will be happy to discuss your payment options upon enrollment.

By signing up for payments via Tuition Express a discounted weekly rate is available for ages 18 months and up. There is no discount offered for the Infant I & II class.

Afterschool: (summer care is available) Pleasant Grove ISD bus systems drops off at our location but we do not provide transportation for mornings.

Afterschool Pre-K 3-5:

$100 per week
Tuition Express Discounted Rate: $65 per week

Afterschool 6 years up:

$90 per week
Tuition Express Discounted Rate: $60 per week

A yearly $100 registration fee is required for each family. A multiple child discount is offered to families for their weekly tuition rate.

What hours is Grace Place open?

We are open Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. We are only closed on major holidays to ensure we are available for working parents.

What type of certifications do Grace Place teachers have?

Grace Place Staff is required to have 30 hours of continuing education each year focusing on the age group for which they care. They are also CPR/First Aid certified. Our local CCS Program provides teachers with monthly training throughout the year on topics such as: Conscious Discipline, Removing Negative Interactions, Child Development, Age-Appropriate Curriculum

How long has Grace Place been around?

Grace Place opened it's doors for business in June of 1999.

What type of activities will my child be able to participate in?

Mrs. Carrolyn has developed a fun, yearly schedule that allows Grace Place students to investigate different units of study. Some of our favorite units to explore are dinosaurs, zoo animals, nursery rhymes, and many others. Throughout the year we have Valentine's Day parties, Easter Egg hunts, Trick or Treating with residents of The Magnolia and The Oaks, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas visit from Santa and caroling for the 'Grandmas and the Grandpas', as well as other activities throughout the year.

Do I have to bring snacks or lunch for my child to eat?

Our center knows parents have a busy schedule so we provide meals and snacks throughout the day. Any child eating table-food is provided a morning snack, hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. We are a member of the Child and Adult Care Food Program which provides nutritious food guidelines for us to follow. Formula, rice cereal, and applesauce are available for our infant students.

I am interested in enrolling my child in Grace Place. What should I do now?

We are excited you are choosing Grace Place! First, call our center at 903-223-6388 or send us a Facebook message to check our available openings. If we have an availability, a $100 registration fee will hold your child's spot. We also recommend coming to Grace Place for a tour. This allows the first day for parents and children to be a smooth transition. Once the enrollment process is started you will receive a packet with all the necessary paperwork required for enrollment.
