AT THE FRONT News from the world of Harken for October, 2017

Reflections on Autumn

Just as a team readies for the mark rounding or anticipates a new weather pattern, September at Harken is all about transitions. While sailors are preparing for the long winter by hauling boats and bricking sails, the Harken team is putting the finishing touches on some of our most important events of the year—boat shows.

The boat show is the best place to see and experience what’s new in sailing. For sailors and suppliers alike, it represents an annual pilgrimage to re-up on all that excites and energizes us about sailing. In many ways, it is the unofficial “fan convention” of our sport. You can get your hands on new products, ask the technical questions, and come away more informed and confident than when you arrived.

For Harken, it’s our best opportunity to connect with and learn from customers. What is important to you? What questions do you have? What can we improve? Entire product lines have been spawned from a single suggestion. We’ve learned an incredible amount from countless conversations at shows, and look forward to the next ones.

That dialogue is a big part of why there’s always something new when you visit Harken. Come and see how our products can make your sailing more efficient, enjoyable, and easier. Can’t find what you’re looking for, or not quite sure? Ask! The team members in our booth and giving demos are the same experts designing the gear and servicing it around the world.

It’s easy to read online reviews and shop remotely, but you can’t replace spinning the sheaves and learning new techniques. So come on down and “say hey” to your friends at Harken!
