The community of Graceville, located in Big Stone County, was founded by Irish immigrants around the year 1878, and sits on Toqua Lake. Today, it has two campgrounds, a golf course, softball fields, restaurants and businesses, and full-service healthcare facilities.

Toqua Lake
Graceville is located on the northeast corner of Toqua Lake. This is a beautiful, recreational lake that provides endless opportunity to get active, or even just take in the natural beauty of Western Minnesota lakes.
Pictured in the background is Lake View Park, which not only has a fabulous play ground, but a skate park, tennis and basketball courts, and a picnic area. All this overlooks Toqua Lake.
Toqua Park is right on the shore of Toqua Lake and has 18 campsites with electricity, showers, and toilets available in the park. There's a playground, a beach, a boat landing , and two softball fields. There are also hiking and biking trails, and snowmobile trails in the winter.
Toqua Lake is a feature that Graceville is very proud of -- they even have Toqua Days every year! This is a huge community event with lots of food and activities for the whole family. There is a parade, softball tournaments, pedal pulls, and so much more!

Toqua Days isn't the only big community event in Graceville, they also host a big St. Patrick's Day celebration every year. Inspired by the community's strong Irish heritage, there is a big parade, a pub crawl, and evening celebrations every year on St. Patrick's Day! Watch the festivities in the video below.

Graceville Health Care
There's no need to leave Graceville to get medical care, the community has not only the Graceville Clinic, but the Holy Trinity Hospital, which is a 15-bed critical access hospital. Additionally there is also two long-term care facilities, Grace Home and Grace villiage.
