Ben Chosid, a senior at Community High School, owns twelve baseball hats. More than enough to wear a new hat every day of the week. Each hat holds memories from visits to different Major League Baseball (MLB) stadiums; it is his goal to go to every stadium in the United States.
On this particular day, a Thursday, Chosid chose to wear his red-white-and-navy Atlanta Braves cap, paired with a random Rutgers hoodie that he found at a Salvation Army.
“I have an inside joke with my friends about how Rutgers is bad at everything, so I thought it would be funny to buy it,” Chosid said.
Why not rock sweatpants with a sweatshirt? Pure comfort. If Chosid has some time in the morning to get ready, he might try to look a little spiffier. But on an early start day? Sweats on sweats. He might try to switch up the shoes — wear a pair of Air Jordan sneakers instead of Vans — to look a little bit more put together. Make sure the colors match from cap to kicks. Other than that, though, it is about wearing an outfit you can seriously chill out in.
Yeah, there is a little bit of dirt on his sneaks. Who cares? It’s fresh to be lax.
