The interrelation project is based on the assumption that we cannot separate the components of this world. Meaning any person, object, performance, picture etc. stands always in relationship to its surrounding. And it will be only understood in relation to its surrounding context.
The interest in the idea originated from a creative research process in 2017 in which Janosch Horn stumbled across his fascination for playing with a change of context in his dance performance. Instead of changing the movement he decided to change the perception of the viewer by changing sound, light or the spatial relationships of the body to objects & audience.
Sound & Movement
In late 2020 dance maker Janosch Horn and music composer Guillem Gongora Moral decided to collaborate in this search for understanding these connections we as people always make. Both bring their artistic craft to the table (Janosch dance & Guillem music composition) but they collaborate in a free approach where both artists are not restricted to their art form.
Guillem and Janosch are fascinated by the fact that any chosen thing (for example any gesture, sound or any object) can be perceived in totally different ways depending on the context.
While the overarching theme of interrelation might in the long term function more as an umbrella term for different projects, "Interrelation" is also the working title for the performance project that Guillem & Janosch are currently working on.
