coker cobras
The Coker University men's soccer team picked up a critical South Atlantic Conference win on Wednesday (Nov. 6) with a 4-2 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne. With the win, the Cobras clinched a spot in the SAC tournament, which will begin on Saturday (Nov. 9) when the team will be traveling to Jefferson City, Tennessee to take on the Carson-Newman University Eagles in the quarterfinals.
The Cobras have faired well when faced with adversity, facing two must-win matches to close out the season against Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne, and coach Michael Antoniewicz's squad was able to pick up two victories. In order to keep their season alive, the Cobras will need to make it three wins in a row when they take on Carson-Newman in Saturday's quarterfinal match.
"I love the mindset of our team right now," said antoniewicz. "we know what it takes to win, we must find a way to carry this momentum into saturday's match."

"christian has been outstanding this season," said antoniewicz. "He is a dangerous player and has been on top form when we needed him the most. we all have the utmost confidence in him to deliver once again on Saturday."
