Earlier this year I attended the Farnborough International Air Show. It was a big disappointment. I went to the Biggin Hill Air Show with limited expectations.
The Biggin Hill Air Show was much better, and even the exhibitors who were at both air shows were better.
The RAF Red Arrows, The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Wingwalkers. Everything seemed so much better at Biggin Hill and of course, where better to celebrate the centenary of the RAF than at Biggin Hill!
Unlike Farnborough which had been a mix of jet and propeller planes, Biggin Hill was unashamedly about propeller planes with the notable exception of the RAF Red Arrows Aerobatic team and a Eurofighter Typhoon which made a flypast at the very end.
