Let go of summer with these delicious fall desserts Cate Casparius '19

Fall, a time when temperatures cool, kids flock back to school and everyone’s favorite flavors reappear. Say goodbye to s’mores and summer fruit recipes and welcome back the beloved pumpkin spice and apple crumb. Here are three great recipes to make this fall.

1. Pumpkin Spice Krispie Treats, a great dessert incorporating the classic pumpkin flavor sweetened by marshmallows with an exciting crunch from the rice krispie cereal. You will need: 6 cups of rice krispie cereal, 4 cups of marshmallows, ¼ cup of pumpkin puree, ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice, ½ tsp cinnamon, 3 tbsp butter and 1 cups of dark chocolate.

2. Mini Apple Crisps, the easiest way to enjoy all of the flavors in the beloved apple pie. You will need: 4 small apples, peeled and diced, 3 tbsp all-purpose flour, 4 tbsp brown sugar, 3 tbsp butter, 4 tablespoons quick-cooking oats and 1 tsp ground cinnamon.

3. Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bars, the best way to enjoy everyone’s favorite dessert, chocolate chip cookies, in the Fall. You will need: 2 cups flour, 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp salt, 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 cup canned pumpkin puree and 1-1/2 cups chocolate chips.
