A Busy Few Weeks
We've been furiously working on our Rehearsal Live Share technology for remote rehearsing. Since we released version 1.0 a few weeks ago, we fixed and implemented countless things, both big and small. While there have been a few non-publicized releases in the meantime, we're ready to talk up some key features in this one.
First, we're increasing the session limit. Previously, we had capped the size to 9 (director + 8 participants). We now feel we've tested larger numbers enough to release a 12 person version (director + 11 participants). We will continue to push this. Again, if you're already a subscriber and would like to test larger sessions yourself, please contact us.
Let's Hear That Again
This marks the first release to include a built-in record option. We have big ambitions for where we ultimately want to take this feature - and we have a ways to go before we realize our more exciting goals. But you have to start somewhere.
This version contains a basic record feature which captures a stereo mix of all music and participants. The mix will reflect any volume or panning adjustments made by the director. It can then be shared back to the participants for review - or brought into your favorite DAW for further editing/processing.
Future versions will capture multichannel recordings, a channel for each participant plus the accompaniment. We will also integrate sharing mechanisms directly into the program. It will then be possible to sing or play along to these recordings with subsequent rehearsal runs in RLS.
We're Just Getting Started
We will continue to release updates at least once per week, if not every few days. Big things are coming!
