On Friday, November 2nd we will dedicate the historic fountain and pillars as the “Verne Kennedy Plaza” to honor the first alumnus elected president, who served from 1978–1986.
We are hopeful you will join us at 4:00 that afternoon, outside Preston/Fitzhugh Halls, for this time with Dr. Kennedy and his family. We will have a brief dedication presentation followed by a reception. This dedication of the Verne Kennedy Plaza kicks off our Homecoming weekend activities.
