It's been some time since the new beings have been here... I will admit they are some odd ones. Some parts of their body are smooth but others seem to have fur on them. They certainly do not look anything like the other animals around here. What is the weirdest... is what is on their bodies. It's not like fur or grass. I even saw them take it off! Maybe the crows will go over and look more into it, they did say they were curious. Mother Treow warned them to be careful and the rabbits told them not to. But, why should we be careful? They're so small compared to the bears here and look too fragile to even fight us forces.

The crows have informed me of something so wonderful! Those beings have created "time". It allows us to keep track of the days by using numbers and such. I haven't been logging some of my entries as I have heard so many stories about them and trying to learn this weird time thing.

The local dogs say that the beings call themselves humans and tell us their adventures of herding sheep. However, he had to leave in the middle as his human was calling for him. He said it was time to eat dinner. Hopefully, he will come back soon to tell me more. These humans have certainly left their mark on the land. I've watched them grow carrots, potatoes and other foods. I've watched them grow mini humans. I've watched them die as well. Quite unfortunate, to have such short lifespans.

The humans have been making this new dirt. I was chatting with some crows as we watched them put it into the ground. They told me it's called pavement or road for their cars. When I asked them what a car was, the crow told me it was so they could travel. Some earthworms poked from the ground, having heard our conversation and complained that its difficult to resurface because of it.

In the recent years, the humans have been creating more inventions everyday. It's fascinating to see their curiosity advance them this far. Watching them grow like this.. makes me happy. Is this how Mother Treow felt when she watched the saplings flower from her seeds. I wonder what more they will achieve.

It's been noticeably hotter. The animals have been complaining more that the new roads that these humans placed make it too hot to even run across. However, I've noticed that the air tastes a lot more.. strange. Breathing it in makes me feel sick.

The humans cut down Mother Treow. The oldest Treow in this area. My fellow Treows have mourned her sudden death as she has been here for hundreds of years - in human time. Recently, they have been cutting more of us down and removing us in these areas. Construction of these large structures have been increasing to accommodate the humans. They come in continuously in these contraptions that they made. The crows call them cars or nature killers because they've murdered many of our friends, leaving them out on these roads to dry up.

It is so very very hot. Every year it seems to get hotter and hotter.. Mother Treow would always tell me that with hot days, comes rainy skies. Although days may seem grim, we give to earth - Mother would tell us that she will also certainly give back to us. As the sun will dry us out, Mother Nature will fill the skies with rain to fill us. Reminiscing these stories Mother Treow would tell us saplings... I miss her. It's been some time since she's left us, but the humans keep multiplying more and more like a cancer.
