Steroids in sociology

Steroids are often looked down upon in our society and want to be banned all together. However, looking at it as a sociologist there is a different view. Going off of Durkheim's theory, steroids should not be banned from professional baseball. Steroids create wrongful social norms but still stay a popular past time for many Americans. Deviance in sports has come to show culture changes that has to do with gender in sports. Breaking the rules help shape and form societal morals.
