For the graduating 8th graders, this Middle School concert of 2017 will be their last. They do however have the option to take vocal or instrumental in Upper School. Some 9th grade volunteers, who are also participating in the Middle School Concert have watched the Middle Schoolers' development since the beginning.
"You can really see the improvement from the beginning of the year"-9th grade student Madeline Connolly
The Middle School Band performed quite a few themes from popular franchises such as Pokemon, Star Wars and Batman. Their last three songs were "The Pokemon Theme", "Rey's Theme from Star Wars" and "Batman: Arkham City".
"Fantabulous!" says Alex Taylor, when describing the outcome of the concert. He is a 9th Grade worker in tech.
"I was kind of annoyed that more people came to this concert than the Upper school one!"-Anonymous High School Student
"My Shot" from the Broadway musical "Hamilton" was performed by the 7th and 8th grade vocal ensemble with the help of WIS' Technical Director Mark Perkins and his student tech crew.
"The choir as a whole has a lot of talent, all they need is to grow and have their voices mature" said 9th grader, Max Webel who volunteered to participate in the Middle School Concert.
