As I reflect on the past year, I am grateful for many opportunities to make an impact in each of the 14 counties that we serve.
Through programs like Operation Round Up, educational partnerships, and active involvement with numerous community organizations, we contributed more than $300,000 in 2019 to local nonprofits and causes, school districts, and economic engines in the CGEMC service territory!
Looking ahead to 2020, our focus will remain on meeting the evolving needs of our growing territory. Each cooperative decision is based on ever-changing technology and sustainability requirements, while continuing to deliver reliable and affordable power to all of our customer-owners. Thank you for being an important member of our cooperative family! — CGEMC President/CEO George L. Weaver

CGEMC Employees give back
In this season of giving, CGEMC employees step up to the task. This month, several employees donated time and food for "The Perfect Potluck" in Flovilla. We gathered donations for BackPack Buddies of Monroe County and coats for Collier's Community Services. And, we're currently collecting non-perishable food items for the City of Jackson's Can-A-Thon.
Giving back does not end for us in December. Service to our communities is written into our founding principles as a cooperative. We are excited to see the "Co-Opportunities" our employees will be involved with in 2020!
