- COVID-19 Vaccinations are now available on campus every Wednesday and Thursday through our partnership with the National Guard. They are free of charge and open to the University and the public. Additional vaccinations are offered by Curative on scheduled dates. Find out about all options, including free COVID-19 Testing here.
- Our Graduate School has added new online programs and MBA concentrations. Here’s the scoop.
- The countdown continues for our Uconnect transition. We’re going to “reload” Uconnect as a cloud-based, streamlined experience focused on easy access to TAMIU resources and systems. The change takes place Thursday, July 1, 2021. We’ll keep reminders and additional information heading your way.
- Kudos to TAMIU graduate Biology student David Gonzalez. He’s been accepted into Vanderbilt University’s Ph.D. Program in Biological Science. That’s how you Go Beyond!
- The next funding cycle for CRRSAA Grants for students Applications for students enrolled during Sub-Term II, Summer Session II, and Summer Session III will open the week of July 12. Here’s more.
- Registration for Summer and Fall continues. Fall here will be a full and vibrant, on-campus experience. Later this week, we’ll share some great news that will make a big difference this Fall.

TAMIU Student Accepted to Vanderbilt University's Doctoral Program in Biological Science
If a student can take a courageous leap between two seemingly distinct academic paths like the Performing Arts and Science, it's graduate Biology student David González. David is one of six students nationwide recently accepted into Vanderbilt University's Ph.D. Program in Biological Science. He plans to leave Laredo in July to begin his doctoral studies in Nashville, Tenn. this Fall.

I wanted to be a part of that legacy and be an inspiration for others in that it is never too late to begin your academic career."

While the Fall semester won’t begin until August, Texas A&M International University Graduate School has readied new programs that will offer graduate students career-enhancing opportunities.

Incoming Dustdevils in the Rio Grande Valley, Eagle Pass Invited to Meet with TAMIU Reps
University representatives are hitting the road this summer where they’ll be visiting both current and future Dustdevils in their hometowns and surrounding areas. During their “Unfinished Business” summer tour event, representatives will complete last-minute admission processes, meet with financial aid advisors, apply for on-campus housing, sign-up for New Student Orientation, learn about student aid opportunities and complete on-site registration for their Fall 2021 courses at the University.
University staff members will be on-site at the following locations:

Uconnect Fully Transitions by July 1, 2021
Uconnect, our official communications portal, is transitioning. We’re going to “reload” Uconnect as a cloud-based, streamlined experience focused on easy access to TAMIU resources and systems. We’ll complete this transition by July 1, 2021. Rest assured that throughout our transition period and beyond, all student, faculty and staff services will remain in-place, and will not be disrupted.
