Trixie runs everyday. Running everyday in 2021 to raise money for new beginnings, a homeless charity based in Reading.

Hi! I’m Trixie! I’m a member of Vegan Runners UK and I have been running for three years. This year, I am going to run everyday to help raise awareness about the plight of the homeless in the UK, and to raise much needed funds for New Beginnings, a grassroots homeless charity dedicated to the prevention and relief of poverty and financial hardship.

JOLLY JANUARY COMPLETE! βœ…

So! January is done and that completes my first month of running everyday in 2021!

I’m feeling confident about the coming months and my legs aren’t hurting yet which is a good sign! πŸ˜ƒ

I ran 230km (143 miles) in total, including a half marathon! I think I enjoyed my run in the snow the most and I’m so pleased with all the donations so far 😊

Right, bring on Fab February πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

I got a perfect month on my Apple Watch πŸ˜ƒ
Fantastic February DONE βœ…

Month two is done! πŸ˜ƒ

In total I ran 145 miles in February, finishing it off with a lovely half marathon at Windsor Great Park. I spent the whole time imagining I was a Tudor princess riding through the fantastic castle grounds. (Tudors history is a bit of a passion of mine πŸ˜‚)

My legs are still feeling good, my two weekly sessions of yoga on zoom definitely help with that, and so does a hot bath!

I’m feeling confident going into Magical March, the longer days and the lovely spring weather definitely helps with motivation 😊🌸

I have raised Β£835 so for, thank you so much to everyone that has donated to NEW BEGINNINGS!

Another perfect month on my Watch (this is NOT easy) ! πŸ˜†
Magical March FINISHED! βœ…

So magical March is done and dusted.

This was the hardest month so far, my legs started to really ache after doing a set of hill repeats and have only just started to recover πŸ˜‚

I did my March half marathon along the River, which again was a struggle but I got it done.

137 miles ran in total and just 274 days to go πŸ˜‚

Another perfect month πŸ™ŒπŸ˜ƒ
Amazing April ACHIEVED! βœ…
Gin run! πŸ₯³πŸΎ

Another month done πŸ˜ƒ

It wasn’t the best month mileage wise as I had a nasty fall at work and struggled a bit with my running for a couple of days, but I didn’t miss a run!

Just scraping 120 miles for the month. I also did a GIN RUN to celebrate 100 consecutive days. That was a lot of fun!

This months half marathon was just a gentle plod around the streets of Reading, nothing too exciting πŸ˜‚

And of course I got all my Apple rings 😊

Magnificent May FINISHED! βœ…

It was covid jab this month and it left me feeling a poorly for a day or two, but it didn’t hold me back and I finished the on 141 miles and all my Apple rings πŸ˜ƒ

This months half marathon was a very interesting one out on the Northern moors, it was all going fantastic till the heavens opened and I got very cold and miserable, I’m never not talking a jacket with me on a long run again πŸ˜‚

Now bring on Jolly June!

Joyful June SMASHED! βœ…

Another 30 days of running done!

Everything seems to be going well at the moment, my legs feel great and I’m doing lots of yoga to keep it that way 🀞

I did a lovely run down to the Queens Arms pub where New Beginnings is based and met the founder of the charity, Grace Gomez.

It was so lovely to go there and look around and to talk to Grace about all of the different type of help they offer for the homeless and families in need, I was very moved and I’m so pleased that I can raise this money for them.

This month’s half marathon was a lovely run along the Thames river and the Kenet and Avon canal, the weather was perfect for it 😊

I finished off the month on 127 miles and of course I got all my Apple rings!

Grace, the amazing lady behind NEW BEGINNINGS
Jammy July βœ…

Well over halfway now!

Not too much to report this month, nothing very exciting happened in my running world!

My highlight run was with my bestie through the streets of Bristol and going to meet a goat πŸ˜‚

And what a surprise I got all my Apple rings again!

Active August βœ…
The Elan Valley

This was probably my favourite month of running so far this year!

I was running in my happy place, the very beautiful Elan Valley, Wales.

I did an amazing half marathon though the valley and lots of shorter runs, I was very sad to leave.

Till next year, Elan!

And of course I got all my Apple rings πŸ˜‚

Super September! βœ…

This was my best mileage month so far πŸ˜„

I managed to do a 100km week, one of the runs was 30k πŸ™Œ

It was really nice to push myself a bit and get out of my comfort zone of just running short distances every day. Oh, and I got all my Apple rings!

Just 3 months to go now!!

β€˜Orrible October βœ…

My friend Andy came to visit!

October was a bad month for me ☹️

I decided at the the start I would have a rest week and just run 20 minutes everyday to give my legs a bit of a break, just at the end of the week I fell over and landed hard on my tailbone, needless to say running was very difficult for the rest of the month and I was told at the hospital that I couldn’t run more than a mile for a while, until it was better.

I didn’t even manage to do a 10k ☹️

But oh well, I still didn’t miss a day of running and I still managed to get all my rings! (I had to do quite a lot of little walks to achieve this!)

Bring on November!

Gnarly November! βœ…

Nailed November

Getting ever closer to the end now!

November wasn’t too bad, I managed a couple of longer runs and my back is completely better 😊

I found a couple of my runs hard because of the passing of our lovely little cat but I still got out there and did it! πŸ’ͺ

I can’t believe there’s just 31 days to go now and I will have done it πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

I finished the month on 125 miles and of course all my Apple rings πŸ˜‚

So roll on December! πŸŽ„
