#BASDproud
We are #BASDProud of Thomas Jefferson Student James Goins! James is a 2nd grade student who is an outstanding school citizen. For the past year, James has been a star learner both on-stage and off-stage. His teacher relies on him as a leader in the classroom--he always notices when his classmates needs help and provides them with support and encouragement. Some of James' favorite things are math, science, playing with his friends, and video games. We are so proud of you, James!

Five beloved Bethlehem Area School District Administrators are retiring this year. As a token of our appreciation, the district put together a fun video to highlight their time with us as we wish them well in the future
Congratulations and best of luck to Carole Schachter; Deborah Roeder; Jill Moran, Mike LaPorta, and Joseph Rahs! Thank you for all you have done. We will miss you.
Thank you to Northeast Middle School Select Singers under the direction of Denise Parker for singing the song!

The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District
Formerly known as the Bethlehem Area Education Foundation (BAEF), The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District began in March of 1999, after a one-year feasibility study. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of members of the community working in concert with, but independent of the Bethlehem Area School District. To move the Foundation forward, the Board of Trustees amended the bylaws to include paid employees and hired a part-time Executive Director in the fall of 2014. Over the years, the foundation has worked closely with school district administrators to prepare programs and opportunities for funding that will support rigor, relevance and innovation in classrooms throughout the district.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley
Bethlehem Umpires Association (BUA) is actively taking applications for baseball umpires! Whether you are an experienced umpire, or looking to break into the game as a rookie, we have the appropriate level for you.
We offer a competitive level of play for all levels of experience and the opportunity to umpire throughout the greater Lehigh Valley area. Our organization officiates over 1500+ games for Little League, Travel Teams, Connie Mack, Youth Legion, and LVMSBL (Men’s League’s) from April until November. Our season was impacted with the COVID delay to the start of baseball but we still officiated over 800 games from July to November.
Take your passion for sports and turn it into a part time avocation that will enable you to give back to the community. We accept members starting at 16 and offer education, training and mentorships to improve your skills and obtain higher level games as you gain more experience.
If you are an experienced umpire and you would like to try to get involved in a group we would love to hear from you.
We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month from February through September, contact us today through our website (www.bethump.org) or email us at bethumpassoc@gmail.com for more information! We look forward to speaking with you soon about umpiring for the BUA.
