Daily Hugz Olive Harvest Festival Trip 2017 Photo Highlights & Sample Itinerary

October 11 – Arrive in Amman and overnight

October 12 – brunch at Ms. Abu-Ghazalah’s with local Aramco folks; visit the Jerash historical site

Oct 13 – drive south to Petra and explore the Nabatean city, then stay at a rustic bedouin camp in Wadi Rum

Oct. 14 – buffet breakfast at camp; sunrise jeep ride through Wadi Rum; drive to the Red Sea; sunset dinner cruise

Oct. 15 – drive to Wadi Mujib for water canyon hike and then just down the road to the Dead Sea beaches for a mud bath and float

Oct. 16 – arrive at Daily Hugz and spend the rest of the day relaxing with the 10 dogs and six donkeys; have a home-cooked Palestinian dinner

Oct. 17 – traditional Palestinian breakfast; shopping in the Nablus souk; visit a Roman-era soap factory; spa at Ottoman-era hammam; dinner in Nablus

Oct. 18 – drive to 1948 Palestine; seaside lunch

Oct. 19 – morning walk with dogs and donkeys; afternoon is the Olive Harvest Festival; judge maqlubeh contest

Oct. 20 – harvest olives and take them to the press

Oct. 21 – visit the Old City of Jerusalem

Oct. 22 – wake up in Jerusalem and cross back to Jordan
