As the first steps in a long-term project, these are some of the images made whilst out foraging for dead wood to be made into sculptures by my dear friend Gordon Baddeley.
We wandered around some nearby beautiful woodland as autumn was setting in and the forest floor was carpeted with fallen leaves. The trees still had plenty of their foliage remaining and it was set glowing with the low sun.
I was working to some very beautiful words that Gordon had written, something that is akin to a brief perhaps. It made things very much easier to cover the photography and, even though we have much more to do to complete the article, we did get a lot of suitable images in just a few hours rambling.
