Why I am running.....

As a former Edina student and mother of two, this community has provided us with so many opportunities you won’t find anywhere. I want to do my part. I believe running for the School Board is an opportunity for me to be a voice to ensure all of our communities are represented in the decisions being made for our teachers and students futures.

We need to put in place well-supported policies allowing every student to learn, create and invent the new world they will be establishing. This means we need to make good on our promise that education will be made available to all on equal terms and so that every student can realize a productive life.

Our teachers, parents, coaches, administration, community and our students all care about our future and have valuable ideas.

If elected, I promise I will listen to the needs of our teachers, our community and learn from our students. I will be an advocate for their diverse needs. I will make mindful decisions about policies and budgets so we foster equitable learning environments while continually challenging ourselves to what's next and not stay stagnant.

On November 7th, I ask that you please vote for me. This year there are four open seats on the School Board and I would be honored to bring my experience to the position.
