Pollensa 18 Turra Ted's diary!

So, I have roved and the weather is gorgeous! Puerto Pollensa is just as I remember it….and is one of my favourite places to be! However, I was not thinking that last night!

They drove down to Edinburgh….but it seemed very dark all the way. I'd say it was a blackout! But, as usual, I was safely tucked up in a bag making sure I got plenty of rest!

Parking at the airport…..✅

Into the terminal……✅

Luggage checked in…..✅

Meal before the flight……✅

Flight…….✅

On arrival I got off the plane, went in to the terminal and followed the signs until we reached a queue in a tunnel leading to passport control. All ok so far……but the queue was rather long. But the problem was it wasn't moving. And there was not just our flight…..there must have been bout three others. So there were all these people queueing in a long tunnel waiting to get through. We stood, and stood and stood! It moved…..inch by inch every couple of minutes. It was of course 11.30pm by now.

Well…..we got through….after about 90 minutes! There was ONE police guy on the check in desk at passport control…..but after a while the reinforcements came……all of ONE more guy! It was ridiculous!

Having got through….there was no information telling us which carousel had the luggage. But, eventually we got it all!

So…..we just need our transfer. They found the desk…..but were told their bus had gone! We don't contact everyone they said….to see where they are! When they were told they had been there 90 minutes…..the lady said it was due to BREXIT!

More like throwing their toys out of the cot!! But, they got directed elsewhere and finally got on the last bus to the north!

I arrived fresh and bright eyed after my hibernation at about 2am! The poor lady with the key waiting for us was very patient!!

The apartment is lovely….just behind their ‘usual’ hotel and very hidden…..with a great view of the mountains from the roof top pool!

Today I was up bright and early and then went for a walk to the supermarket to stock up, went for brunch and then went up to the sun terrace! My fur comes in handy…..but I think they perhaps had too much sun and perhaps got burnt.

After another walk in the late afternoon it was time to get ready to go out for dinner. It had to be early-ish as the big guy had to get back to see a football match! The Dons? They were playing a Bosnian team….and after some emails back and fore to the ‘Red TV’ people he managed to get his account changed to be able to get the match live via the international subscription. But, they experienced, what did he say……’technical difficulties’ and it was not till the 39th minute the stream came on! The match finished 1-1 and so was a little bit of a disappointment.

It's now time for bed again. I am going to Old Pollensa tomorrow I think!!
