Painting Smiles on Bearcats' Faces PRHS spreads kind vibes only throughout kindness week

The usual masses of crimson seen around PRHS throughout a normal week is traded in for a baby blue shirts with the words “kind vibes only” plastered across the chest. Four backgrounds hand in the quad waiting for bearcats to pose in front of the artwork to show the importance of being kind reading things like "be someone's sunshine when their sky is grey" and "step up and be kind."

During the week of May 6-10 students focus on being kind to one another as well as doing their part to make the campus a more welcoming place with the leadership class walking around as kindness fairies handing out candy, papers, and pins with kind sayings such as “kindness is priceless” and “smile often.”

On the last day of kindness week popsicles were handed out to all of the students wearing kindness t-shirts. Joining into the celebration were some of the advanced dancers who got together and did a small semi-improv performance to the music being played in the quad.

Bubbles were handed out to students to fully immerse the school in kind vibes along with the hashtag #805spreadlove so students posting pictures on Instagram could caption their posts and like each other's pictures.

With AP testing starting the same time as kindness week Bearcats at PRHS were thankful for a break from the stress whether it be because of a piece of paper saying "be brave" and a lollipop or just walking by a poster saying "niceness is priceless." The difference was noticeable on campus.
