L&T tools & ideas for research communication dr lilia mantai (LIH) - @LiliaMantai

"Package your research ideas for a wider audience"

The 'package' is the sales pitch. L&T tools and social media can help communicate your research more effectively, to academics, students and wider community. Below is a range of ways (in no particular order) to package your research to make it seen, heard, read more widely:

1. Digital Animation & Illustration

example: https://twitter.com/LiliaMantai by fiverr, also try Bitable, and talk to your L&T support or Learning Innovation Hub staff

2. Podcast

example: @tandfonline 15 mins to develop your research career

3. Blog & Vlog

example: Teche, MQ's Learning and Teaching blog

4. Cartoon

example: Taylor and Francis online

Contact our very own in-house digital illustrator Fidel Fernando Fidel.fernando@mq.edu.au at the LIH if you want to turn your research ideas into an engaging cartoon or illustration for your students and peers.

5. Video

example: video abstract on 'Let Teens Sleep' research, and again, talk to your L&T support or Learning Innovation Hub staff

6. Infographic

example: infogram or canva

7. 'Slides' other than PowerPoint presentations - share and make them open access!

Try Prezi, SlideBean, or Adobe Spark!
