Promoting the development of diplomatic relations at MOGAP 2020
On October 7th and 8th, discussion and negotiation were present at MOGAP - Model General Assembly Prescott in its fifth edition, this time in a virtual format..
MOGAP represents a parliamentary simulation of the United Nations Organization, where students participate as diplomats from countries all over the world. This virtual context has allowed for this important international academic event to gather 184 delegates from schools in Panama, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, the United States and Peru, who discussed interesting and international topics in intense debates.
Prescott, and the Organizing School, had the participation of students from 10th and 11th grades, who conformed the General Secretary this year, leading the event from several fields with responsibility, commitment and ingenuity, exceeding the limits of distance..

Family Conference 2020: “Skills and Stress Handling in Parents and Children”
This year, our Family Conference gathered members of our Educational Community in to virtual conferences under the theme “Skills and Strees Handling in parents and children”.
International lecturer Tony Orozco was present from the United States, who with his work, helps develop life skills in children and adolescents, creating a positive and respectful impact on the family and school environment.
Both conferences allowed us to make attendees aware of strategies that help to strengthen the bond between parents and children to handle the current situation in the best way possible.

Caring from home!
Because our caring spirit does not stop, we keep helping from home those who most need it, through our “Kilo from home”.
During the month of September, Prescott Community gathered to help the following institutions:
8th grade students took charge of promoting the help for San Benito Cottolengo, Home for Special Children, whose purpose is to assist disabled children and youngsters, impoverished and abandoned.
Prescott teachers and collaborators gathered to help San Aníbal di Francia Shelter in Tiabaya, which assists abandoned and disabled children diagnosed with severe mental tardiness, spina bifida, among others.

Outstanding participation at MUN SUR
Continuing working from home and the new virtual experiences, our students were part of MUN SUR 2020, Model of United Nations organized by San Martín de Porres University in Arequipa

CAS experience – DP 2020 First Year
Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) is a central part of the Diploma Programme. With its holistic focus, it reinforces and broadens the personal and interpersonal learning acquired by the students in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
CAS is organized in three areas that are defined as follows:
- Creativity: exploration and broadening of ideas that conduct to an original or interpretative product or performance.
- Activity: physical effort that contributes to a healthy lifestyle.
- Service: collaborative and reciprocal participation with the community in response to a real necessity.
Our alumnus Juan Diego Oviedo Rodríguez (Class of 2009 ), is one of the young doctors from Arequipa who, thanks to his outstanding grades in the Medical Resident exam, was offered an opening for internship in Cardiology at the Assistance University Campus in Salamanca, Spain.
