Grand Haven's Light Night By Ben Pease

Downtown Grand Haven transformed into a Christmas wonderland as music and scents of the holiday season wafted into the brisk air, along with occasional honking of citizens battling for parking spots on Friday night. The town gets back into the Christmas spirit as the locals celebrate with music, food and drink and plenty of decorations.

Street performers played countless holiday classics throughout the night. Locals could not hide their enjoyment, oohing and aahing to songs such as "Jingle Bells" and "Silent Night."

Many store fronts including the Baker's Wife and Carlyn & Company showed off their Christmas spirit with decorations to match the joyous, holiday atmosphere.

Trees alongside Washington Avenue were dressed accordingly for the holidays as well. The festive Christmas lights, along with the hot chocolate, had a magical way of making the frigid night just a touch warmer.
