WEEK FIFTEEN // MVP // KELVIN BEACHUM

From Dec. 13-19, Kelvin Beachum addressed two missions dear to his heart -- education and hunger relief -- in three parts of the country.

The Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman's outreach tour began at Tiger Academy, where he hosted a pizza party for students who are excelling in reading at the Jacksonville school. He also awarded scholarships to three young men from the Johnson YMCA to attend winter camp at Camp Immokalee in December.

As part of a monthly mobile food pantry that he sponsors in his hometown of Mexia, Texas, Beachum held a special holiday distribution on Dec. 15 that provided turkeys and a variety of fresh food for 147 households.

Finally, on Dec. 17, Beachum sponsored a food distribution for the northeast Florida community that also included turkeys for families to enjoy during the holiday season.

“God calls us to serve our communities,” Beachum said. “In glorifying Him, I feel compelled to encourage others, especially young people, by advocating education, faithful devotion and being of service to others.”
