Nestled between Spain and the Atlantic Ocean, Portugal offers abundant seafood and a majestic coastline. Traveling inland the diversity of Portugal’s landscape unfolds from the vineyards of the Douro Valley to the mountainous interior dotted with rustic villages, magical woodland and hilltop castles. With architecturally-stunning cities, and fewer crowds than its European neighbors, this romantic country brims with old-world charm. Find the essence of Portugal on your exclusive adventure with Concierge Travel.

We begin in Lisbon is a hilly city of unrivalled beauty with several spots to climb in and admire splendid views to the sea. It has also many tourists’ attractions, charming plazas, and interesting buildings with Moorish architecture that worth to pay a visit! It is a city that really rejuvenates your mind, however, wondering all day around its cobblestone narrow streets can be pretty exhausting. That said, taking a spa break can be truly refreshing! Some of the best spa hotels in Portugal which are located in Lisbon provide you with special spa treatments, relaxing massages, and deluxe spa facilities! We spend two nights here.

Porto, the town that gave the country (and port wine) its name. The old town was built on the hills overlooking the Douro River, and today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Traveling inland we discover the wine-draped enchanting Douro Valley and the pine-clad mountains of Serra da Estrela. We’ll visit cobblestone villages where the smell of bread baking wafts through the air, indulge in wine tastings at local estates, and listen to soul-stirring Fado music.

We also visit Braga, Evora and some beautiful small towns along the Douro Valley.

At weeks end, you will come to understand the true meaning of the Portuguese word saudade describing the intense longing towards the country and its people. In short, it’s a chance to experience the fabric of this still-undiscovered European gem and the history, people, and landscapes that have come to define it.

Our Mastermind program for this exceptional experience will be focussed on Wine, Women and Wellness travel. Of course the basics of group travel is much the same so these training sessions will include everything you need to know to enjoy planning groups and making money!

1. Lisbon’s timeworn charm “Set against the ever-present backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, this dainty sun-kissed city lives in a Latin fairytale of timeworn manners and traditions,” says Telegraph Travel’s Lisbon expert, Guyan Mitra. “Check out the century-old wooden trams and iron funiculars that still lurch and rumble their way through the city. Or witness the best of this bygone heritage by wandering through the Baixa district, where age-old herbalists, haberdashers and tailors rub shoulders in the baroque streets of the ornate city centre.”
2. Pretty Porto “With its medieval heart, contemporary buzz, magnificent gold-leaf-laced churches – oh, and a rather nice signature tipple – Portugal’s second city merits a visit at any time,” writes Telegraph Travel’s Adrian Bridge. Carved in two by the Douro river, downtown Porto has a faded sophistication, while the seaside suburbs have witnessed something of a renaissance in recent years, home as they are to a burgeoning collection of bars, restaurants and cafes, which offer an authentic slice of local life.
3. The wine, of course Portugal’s national drink (port or porto) is ubiquitous across the country, particularly in its eponymous home. Any bar and restaurant worth its salt will sell the fortified wine, but for larger quantities head to one of Portugal’s plentiful off-licences, which sell anything from dusty, 100-year-old bottles worth €1,000, to more affordable vintages.
4. It’s home to Europe’s most underrated river The Douro might not conjure the imagery of the Seine or even the Thames, but it’s comfortably one of the most beautiful waterways in Europe, as it snakes through vineyards, bucolic villages and Porto, where it is spanned by the city’s iconic iron bridge.
5. Sintra is a resort town in the foothills of Portugal’s Sintra Mountains, near the capital, Lisbon. A longtime royal sanctuary, its forested terrain is studded with pastel-coloured villas and palaces. The Moorish- and Manueline-style Sintra National Palace is distinguished by dramatic twin chimneys and elaborate tilework. The hilltop 19th-century Pena National Palace is known for a whimsical design and sweeping views.

Algarve, popular for its sandy beaches, it is one of the best destinations in Portugal to spend lazy days on the beach and soak up the healing rays of the hot sun. There you will also find spa hotels and resorts set right on the beach, offering advanced wellness facilities staffed by professional therapists. Being a coastal city Algarve has a plethora of water activities to do including scuba diving, snorkelling, watching the dolphins, visiting impressive caves, jet skiing, sailing, and much more!

Evora, one of the oldest cities in Portugal which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most interesting yet tranquil places to unwind in Europe. Its medieval beauty travels you back in time, with prominent architectural buildings, cathedrals, and charming narrow streets. The spa hotels of Evora invite you to relax in peaceful settings surrounded by olive trees and natural landscapes. We spend 2 nights here.
