The inaugural Lab Athletics Hall of Fame class was officially inducted Oct. 19, 2019, in Upper Kovler gymnasium. Inductees accepted awards, gave speeches, and were honored during the ceremony for their athletic achievements and contributions.

The 2019 class includes:

William "Doc" Monilaw

Hall of Fame inductee William "Doc" Monilaw served as Lab's athletics administrator from 1909 to 1925. He coached the U-High football, basketball, and track and field teams as well. He received the U-High Monilaw medal, which was reintroduced in 2005, which recognizes students who both excel in sportsmanship and scholarship.

Marty Billingsley, class of 1977

Marty Billingsley runs on the sidewalk outside of U-High as a junior in high school in 1975. Best known as a current computer science teacher, Billingsley was a three time all-state track and field and cross-country competitor while a student at U-High. She still currently holds school records for the women's 1600m and 3200m events.

Gabrielle Clark, class of 2010

With full concentration, Gabrielle Clark swings her racket during a tennis match. Along with tennis, Clark starred in soccer and track and field while at U-High. She was a three-time sectional soccer champion, a three-time all-state tennis champion, and went on to become a national tennis champion at Emory University in both singles and doubles.

John W. Rogers Jr., class of 1976

John W. Rogers Jr. goes up for a layup in a game against rival high school Francis W. Parker. The former Lab board chair, Rogers, was inducted for his achievement as a basketball and baseball player at U-High, and went on to play basketball at Princeton for four years.

1979-81 Track Team

The 1980 U-High track and field team poses together to take a team photo. Honored in the hall of fame and in the photo are: Beata Boodell, '81; Heidi Hackel, '81; Anita Hollins, '81; Liz Homans, '83; Natalie Pardo, '80; Michelle Shaw, '80; Helen Straus, '80, Darcine Thomas, '81. Members of the team were four-time State Champions who won three State Championship trophies for 2nd and 3rd places in Class A .
