Future Math Teachers Bemidji State University students attend Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference in Duluth

Eight Bemidji State University students attended the 2018 Spring Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference, held May 4–5 in Duluth, Minn.

Abby Mellesmoen, a senior in elementary education from Embarrass, Minn., presented "Tug-of-War: Engaging Activities for Multiple Abilities."

Amber Armstron, a graduate student in math education from Chanhassen, Minn., presented "Tracking and the Achievement Gap by Race and Class."

Charity Ridlon, a senior majoring in math education from Park Rapids, Minn., presented "Multiple Representations of Algebra."

BSU's trip to the conference was supported by funding from the university's NASA Space Grant.
