After months of anticipation, Deerfield's new athletics complex is now open!
Design and planning for the $68.5 million project began in 2015, with construction commencing in March of 2017. In addition to renovating 6,000 square feet of existing space, an additional 130,000 square feet of facilities have been added. The complex includes a state-of-the-art hockey rink, puck-shooting room, golf simulator, rowing tanks, updated locker rooms, synthetic turf field house, elevated running track, multi-purpose events pavilion, and group exercise rooms. The new facility offers abundant resources that will foster strength, skill, health, and wellness for the entire Deerfield Academy community.

Construction Manager: Skanska USA Building (Boston, MA)
The final beams of Deerfield's new Athletics Complex were placed in November 2017. Construction manager Skanska USA and architect Sasaki Associates celebrated by placing a tree on top of the building in a traditional Scandinavian "topping off" ceremony.
