One’s Own Sweet Way, A Novel About Anxiety Disorder, is based on real-life events. The book is about an ordinary family that is suddenly faced with a crisis. When teenager, Neala Byrnes, develops debilitating anxiety and cannot attend school, her mom, Claire, realizes she must act fast. Squelching her own worries, Claire reaches beyond her comfort zone to help her daughter graduate high school. One’s Own Sweet Way is told from both the mother and the daughter’s points of view as they experience challenges, therapies, losses, and accomplishments.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Tina Riddle Deason, writing as CM Riddle, debuts her first novel, One’s Own Sweet Way, A Novel About Anxiety Disorder. Tina was compelled to follow her love for writing when her youngest daughter, Mia, developed debilitating anxiety. The five year challenge and constant battle against the "dragon" inspired Tina to share her story with other parents. She says, "It's a difficult job being a parent, and having a child with an invisible disease compounds parental stresses. It's not fun for anyone, but there is no way around it. You just have to do what you need to do, and for us, it was for our daughter battle her dragon to earn her high school diploma."
Tina has additional work published in anthologies and magazines. With more books on her horizon. Tina follows her passion for telling stories which touch the human heart and awaken the soul. Tina raised her family in Novato, CA where she provided quality home childcare; as her children grew, she continued her work in the child care field at the Marin Child Care Council and Community Action Marin. After moving to Sonoma County where her youngest was born, Tina worked as a CPR and First Aid instructor and training center coordinator.
