Street Wear 2020-2021 face masks 2020-2021 Trends

With no end to the shelter-in-place order in sight, individuals everywhere are "masking up" to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. While some buy the standard blue and white disposable masks found at most hospitals, others are opting for a more Eco-friendly option. People everywhere are purchasing machine washable cloth masks to keep themselves (and others) safe during the global pandemic.

From celebrities, to college students, to parents, to Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, people everywhere are masking up.
While some prefer a lightweight cotton fabric, others are going another route with transparent masks to optimize communication.

While essential workers and students spend time away from home a comfortable mask is essential in the workplace. Now that face masks are required nationwide people are flocking towards pleasant lightweight facial coverings in to provide comfort in these most, well, uncomforting times. Though communicating efficiently can be difficult when half your face is concealed. Individuals are using fashionable patterns to express themselves while also preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Many are buying customized masks on Etsy, Amazon, or from crafty friends in the neighborhood. While males seem to be sticking to solid colors like black or blue, females seem to be buying masks with patterns. Others are choosing patterns that fit well in their work environment. Some popular colors and patterns are floral, animal print, cartoon characters, pastels, and even bandanna prints.

While most are drawn to pretty patterns and bold color choices, others are donning their masks with type to make statements on social issues or advertise their business logo. People opting for custom text on their masks use bold letters to have their statements noticed easily without having to converse with strangers for too long.
