Last Week

The Coker University softball team picked up their sixth straight win last week with a double header sweep over Augusta and going undefeated at the Cougar Classic in Columbus, Georgia.

THIS WEEK

The Cobras will travel to Aiken, S.C. on Wednesday (Feb. 19) to take on USC Aiken in doubleheader action. The first game is slated to start at 2:00 PM.

Coker Classic

The Cobras will then play their first home game of the season on Friday (Feb. 22) as they take on Fairmont State at 1:00 and 3:00. This will be the first day of the Coker Classic which includes Bloomsburg University and the University of Mount Olive as Well. The Cobras will play Bloomsburg at 2:30 on Saturday (Feb. 22) and UMO on Sunday (Feb. 23).

USC Aiken

USC Aiken comes into Wednesday's matchup with a 9-3 overall record after starting off the season on a nine game win streak, and then losing the last three of their games. The Pacers were picked to finish last in the Peach Belt Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing 3-17 in the conference last year.

Scouting the Fairmont State University Falcons

The Falcons will have their season opener against Coker on Friday (Feb. 20). Fairmont was picked to finish second in the North Division of the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Preseason Coaches' Poll after posting the most wins (23) since 2014 last season. Fairmont ended the season after falling to conference champions West Liberty University in the conference tournament. The 2019 team returns two MEC All-Conference selections.

University of Mount Olive Trojans

The Trojans comes into Saturday's match up with an overall record of 8-2. Mount Olive started off the season with both of their losses coming from Francis Marion University, and they currently on an eight game win streak. Coker defeated Mount Olive in a double header matchup. The team was picked to finish sixth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches' poll after posting 24 wins last season and making it to the fourth round of the conference tournament.

Bloomsburg University Huskies

The Huskies will open up their season on Saturday (Feb. 22) in the first game of the Coker Classic. Bloomsburg earned the first place pick in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll (PSAC) after posting an impressive 30-17 record last season. The 2019-20 team returns four All-Conferences selections from the 2018-19 season.
