2020 Vision of Rallies UPA staff and students gather inside the gym on Jan. 31, 2020 for the third rally this school year

It is customary that the same day of a dance, ASB hosts a spirit rally for the student body.
It was my goal [to be the MC]. i SAW that THE RALLIES FROM LAST YEAR WERE A LITTLE BORING; i WANTED TO JOIN ASB AND EMCEE THE RALLIES AND ATTEMPT TO LIGHT IT UP," KENNETH PHAN (12) said.

FIRST EVENT

The first event that occured between the classes was the three-legged race. Two students were chosen in each grade to race across the gym. Along with the students, Glen the Eagle and Executive Director David Porter joined in on the jamboree. Second Photo: Farah Noor (12) and Paolo Dimicali (12) race Executive Director David Porter with Glenn the Eagle.
Following the first event, the JV Singing Club, comprised of Aida Duong (8), Kate Feng (9), April Nguyen (9) and Emma Fulton (9) sang songs ranging from "7 Rings" to "Old Town Road."

SECOND EVENT

The second event saw the students gather in front of a basketball hoop in descending grade level order (12-7) to play "PIG," a shorter rendition of the popular basketball game "HORSE." The player at a start of the rotation would choose a spot on the court, and if the shot was made, the following players would have to mimic that shot. If failed, a letter would be added to the name and once you recieve all three letters, you are out. After a series of creative shots, Prashant Potluri (11) emerged victorious. Respect your opponents, especially in basketball," Prashant Potluri said.

During the event, the senior class cheered for Aneerudh Venkatraghavan (12) as he fought tooth and nail to achieve second place.

In between the second and third event the Daebak club performed multiple dance numbers to express their joy for Korean Culture. Photo: Sarang Han (12), Kiana Saqui (12) and Arin Flandez (12) performed a trio dance.
I would recommend [DAEBAK CLUB]. It's a new experience and it's not SOMETHING you can experience by yourself. You get to learn more about something but also have fun with it. As you get more intelligent and bond closer," Sarang han (12) SAID.

THIRD EVENT

In the third event of the day two students were chosen from each class and were given a laundry basket. The object of the game was to capture as many balls as possible in the middle. The winner of the event would have the most balls within their respective hula-hoop. First Photo: Simrat Jolly (12) and Roy Orzoco (12) race to grab as many balls in the middle of the court. Second Photo: Junior and Sophomore teams battle each other in an effort to grab the most balls and place into their respective hula-hoops.
After their performance on Tuesday for the awards ceremony the Varsity Singing club performed a mashup of songs from Veronica Gonzales (12), Megan Uy (12), Giana Usac (12), Isabella Cayabyab (12), Adanna Abraham-Igwe (12), and Paolo Dimacali (12).

Following the Singing Club's performance, UPA's Improv team gave a small demonstration of some of the events they perform at their Improv Matches, one of them being Freeze Tag, a game where members would perform a scene and when someone yell out 'FREEZE' and a member would be a tapped out and players would be in an entirely different scene.

4TH EVENT

The final event was the plank walk where 3 students would travel on 3 planks of wood hoisted by a piece of rope. Midway through the competition ropes would break off from the plank resulting in a confusing conclusion to the rally event.
[ASB] HAVE SOME IDEAS OF WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO AND WE BASICALLY COME UP WITH GAMES AND SEE IF PEOPLE LIKE THEM WITHIN ASB AND MEMBERS ASK THEIR FRIENDS FOR THEIR OPINION," ASB ADVISOR NICOLE SEBEK SAID.
