Matthew 7:24-27: "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."
A small humble cottage among the dunes of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Set not to far from the tides. Perhaps a fisherman's rest bit for when he is not at sea.
A place to tend the nets and lines. Perhaps sleep off a night of celebration of a fine catch.
It's land of convenience not of permanence. No doubt the sand in the dunes was cheap, available and close to work - an easy commute as it were.
A simple house build on piers among the shifting sand. No thought of climate change, storms or rising tides. After all a life on boats teaches one to rise above such trivia things.
