About Loyola PRSSA

The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the organization for students interested in public relations.

We seek to advance the public relations profession by nurturing generations of future professionals.

We advocate rigorous academic standards for public relations education, the highest ethical principles and diversity in the profession.

Meetings

Every week PRSSA hosts a meeting in Maryland Hall. These meetings are typically held on Monday nights.

PRSSA hosts speakers from all over the Baltimore area. They talk to the chapter about working in the PR field.

The featured video shows a recap of the 2013-2014 PRSSA year. Every year a video similar to this one is made.

Executive Board

Every year applications are sent into the PRSSA chapter to be on the Executive board. There are about ten positions on the board.

The Executive board meets once a week, typically on Wednesdays, to plan events throughout the semester.

There are also different bonding activities that take place throughout the year.

Volunteering

Every semester, the Loyola PRSSA executive board volunteers at various organizations in Baltimore.

The board usually participates in the York Road Initiative and the Weinberg Center

This year, the chapter also made peanut butter sandwiches for a local food kitchen.

Fundraisers

This year, the PRSSA chapter had semester long campaigns for Puerto Rico and Horizon Day Camp.

The chapter held various fundraisers throughout both semesters and raised money for these causes.

PRSSA also has various bake sales, book sales, and fundraisers at local Baltimore businesses.

All of the fundraisers do very well and go towards the PRSSA chapter and help with different school campaigns.
