Over the course of this article, I'll cover tricks for riders of all skill levels so there will be something for every rider.
8 Easy Longboard Tricks-
Pivots: When skating, you normally bend your knees when landing in order to help give the boards a push. The 180 would be bending your knees with only one foot on top and then quickly switching feet once the board flips over so that they match.
Cross Step: A cross-step is a smooth-skating technique for longboarders where you go up and down the board with fluid footsteps. This is one of the easiest tricks on this list and should by tried especially by someone who's into longboarding mainly because of dancing,
Ghost ride: Ghost ride, typically sounds like a trick off a horror movie but it actually is just a simple trick that is done by jumping off the deck and back on while running. It's a basic dancing trick and looks cool, as while the rider is off-board, the longboard is still sailing into the direction without the rider's instructions.
Ghost ride kickflip: A beginner trick that mimics the ghost-ride trick is to perform it with your back leg while the other leg stands on the ground. With your grip on the board, maintain a shoulder's width of the distance between your feet, then plant one foot in front. Kick up into plank pose and sweep the back leg upward. After the leap, bend your knee and hip in a 90 degree angle so that gravity pulls you back. Drag the board with your back legs toe and jump from the board at the same time. This is how you complete a flip.
Downhill tuck: I think almost anybody can do this. To go faster, you want to get as small and streamlined as possible by making yourself as compact and shrank inside as possible. Do this as if you're trying to fit your body in a confined space.
FS 360 tigers claw: In a nutshell, the basic description of our next trick would be where the longboarder has to hop off the longboard, twirl it using the support of their hand to a 360-degree angle in front of the rider and hope back on their board. If it sounds too chill, trust me, I recommend practicing it in a basic stance for a while before trying it out the hard way.
Heel slide stand 180 slide: A front side 180 is a slide that has the board turned so that it’s at an angle to the direction of travel, then turning around 180° and continuing down on your new heading. For this trick, you do a stand-up slide and go into a switch (switch stance). Your forward leg should be at the same distance from your trucks as your back leg, positioned at an angle.
Standup heel side check: A very simple trick just like the rest down this list, Standup Heel Side Checks Slides are longboard maneuvers that involve a push with the back foot, return to your stance, and then riding. They are most common in either downhill slides or flatland sleds.
