Captured alongside back alleys, side doors, and abandoned lots, Michael Penn Smith's "Alley Shots" collection utilizes potography to illustrate the dichotomy between the natural and uman worlds, and explores scenes that are forgotten or left behind.

Smith states that his greatest inspiration comes from the world around him, and in staying fully present in the moment when working allows photography to become a meditational practice. He also enjoys exploring the power of photography for creative expression and for sharing the human experience.
