CHESS TOURNAMENT Last Thursday we hosted our first Chess Tournament for the year. 135 students from 16 students descended upon our gymnasium from 9.30 am and participated in 7 rounds of chess to ultimately determine an individual and school winner. Having said that, just getting together en masse and playing a great game is, in my view, the best result you could ask for!! Ewan McLauchlan was our star performer, placing 25th overall with 4 .5 points with Viewbank finishing a creditable 5th on 17 points for the day. Congratulations to our 22 students who took part for all of your great efforts on the day. We do it all again in late Term 3!!
REGIONAL CROSS COUNTRY By the time you read this, Tabatha Mendina-Diaz will have completed her 3 km run in the Regional Cross Country championships at Bundoora Park. Once again, congratulations to Tabatha on having made it to this very elite level, and we know you will have given it your absolute best!!
FOUNDATION TO GRADE 2 CROSS COUNTRY Maybe Tabatha should be our official starter tomorrow for the Foundation to Grade 2 cross country on the school oval from 9.30am. Always a fun event!!
